PEOPLE within the US have been so busy freaking out in regards to the latest presidential election that it was simple to overlook a vote in California for a poll measure known as Proposition 22. Gig work giants Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart and Postmates sponsored the measure, to the tune of $205 million. Some even transformed their apps into propaganda machines, exhorting customers to vote “Sure on Prop 22”.
